FLOODING IN THAILAND

Hello again. I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about a situation happening in Thailand right now. As some may know, we are at the end of the rainy season in Thailand. This year has been a very rainy season, especially the last couple of months. As a result, there are flood conditions in the northeastern and central parts of Thailand. So far almost 40 people have died due to the flooding. The flooding has gotten so bad, the water is moving down the rivers towards Bangkok. The other phenomenon which occurs at this time is the tidal surge that comes up the Chao Phraya River bringing more water into the mix. Thus we are starting to see water levels in Bangkok rise. In the country, people are losing homes and crops in their fields. In Bangkok, people are being driven from their homes in the lower parts around the river. So remember Thailand in your prayers because there will be a lot of lasting problems with this current flood.
