Soccer & Thanksgiving

As November hits, we start to see the year winding down. In America, the holiday season is almost in full tilt. Here in Thailand, it gets just as busy. This past weekend, we had our final soccer game for the Church of Christ Football League. It was a great evening of soccer action. RCC and Watcharapon both won their games making Watcharapon the champions of the league. RCC finished a close second with Sommagorn and Soi 4 rounding it out. Though the season is over, we are all looking forward to the next season which will start towards the end of January.

On the family front, Sam and Reagan are in the final rehearsals for their school musical “White Christmas”. After a little drama which almost derailed the show, things are back on and everyone is ready to finish it. Please pray for them this week as it will be very busy and tiring for both of them and the rest of the cast and crew. I do want to take a moment and say how proud we are of our two kids especially Sam. We have seen the results of God’s growth of Sam by the way he handled a very difficult situation at school related to this musical. It was definitely one of those proud parent moments.

We are preparing for a low key traditional Thanksgiving meal with our group of students that come to our house on Friday nights. Next Friday, we will cook turkey and all the dressings for them, so they can experience a little of our American holiday culture. It won’t be as big as the one we did a couple of years ago, but should be a lot of fun. Please pray that this ministry continues to introduce people to Christ. Also pray for some upcoming trips: 1. Back to the Good Life Home in Udon Thani and 2. A new year’s trip to visit some Christians and not-yet-Christians in the South of Thailand. Thank you for your support and prayers. May God bless you and your families especially in this holiday season when there is a lot of travel and family focused time.
