Fruits of the Spirit

Hello again. Yesterday, I was reading from the book Soul Keeping by Howard Baker. It’s a wonderful book that Kathryn and I have been working our way through. The chapter I read was about humility. Ironically, sometimes I find myself thinking, “Hey, I’m pretty good at humility.” Anyway, Baker talks about learning the “tricks of the trade”. Baker’s point is that we shouldn’t waste our time learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to humility or anything for that matter. We should just learn the trade. Too many times we try to find short cuts to achieving fruits of the Spirit instead of just learning the trade. Lord, help me to learn your trade and make your trade my life.

Blessings,

Andy
